I don´t really know how to outline the deepest idea behind this one.
Sometimes I feel so unbreakable in many ways. Standing behind the camera gives me the power to not only show what I see, but to reflect it through myself. I can show you all, but you won´t see a thing. And the closer you try to see, the bigger the distance between us grows.
I wanted it to look both innocent and rude at the same time.
That's quality. Nice description as well. You've got nice hands. And a wicked scar. Hah. Naw, really though, it's a great photo. Good balance, interesting concept, nice tonal contrasts, use of negative space, etc. Good stuff.

I dont see the innocent bit !
and your scar attracts the eye to it. I think its cos of the clean, unblemished skin around it.
The camera is actually quite phallic in the way its being held too.
ahem...which razor do ya use...thats a mighty close shave
As soon as I saw the thumbnail I had 2 thoughts - firstly the new book out by Bob Carlos Clarke - "Shooting Sex" and secondly the wonderful Tracey Emin shot of the bunch of £50 notes held in a similar way. This shot is in a worthy tradition of photographers taking interesting shots to somehow reattach themselves into their work. Im glad you didnt go as far as Mapplethorp though.... I have never looked at a bullwhip in the same way since I saw his self portrait
